Aqueous Media

This is Sue Cowan, my instructor at art class I have been taking. I am thoroughly hooked! She has taught us to create wonderful background paintings using all kinds of fun techniques. And each week she comes up with more! The possibilites seem endless. She , of course, is very talented, and does wonderful things on TOP of these grounds, but I sure am having fun trying my hand at it, even with my limited painting skills! Sometimes the papers are so beautiful, I just hang onto them, hoping I will have an idea and the talent required to turn it into something neat!

Here Sue has transferred one of her photographs onto the surface, and is glazing over it, before painting in more details.   How can I not like it......a way to combine my photos with paint!
