So, I have baked layer cakes, tarts and tortes, Bouche de Noel, decorated cakes and cookies, and pies of many kinds.....and yet have NEVER baked a blueberry pie!! And in 41 years of marriage to a guy who oohs and aahhs over wonderful smells wafting from the kitchen, I never knew he even liked blueberry pie! He was away this week, and the fruit is overflowing at stores and farmstands, so I decided it was high time! The cool foggy morning also produced home made granola and a healthy banana date snack cake for hiking this week. Might as well make use of the oven since I turned it on.
