These guys have been hanging around the lake this visit, but are very shy. I had to take this through the screen enclosure. This was the morning after the torrential downpour which overflowed the gutters and the pool . It rains really hard, then it goes away and the sun shines. Often this happens late afternoon in summer, and it dries up so quickly, you would never know it rained.
People often talk about how much rain we get in Portland, but it really is no more than New Jersey. I know, because I checked before we moved here from New Jersey!! The problem is, it spits, and it takes a long time to GET that amount of rain.....like from October to June!!
